We have a reputation for offering beautiful and authentic designs that are both functional and distinctive in style.
But our design advice reaches beyond the aesthetic.
We work with professional partners such as architects and suppliers from around the world, to bring your project to life. Our manufacturers offer the best in design, manufacture, and service, in the world of kitchen and bathroom interiors.
By participating in supplier training events in the showroom and attending ‘invitation-only’ trips to suppliers manufacturing facilities, we keep up to date with product information and latest design.
A factory tour at Kaldewei
A recent factory trip to Kaldewei in Ahlen, Germany gave our designers insight how the iconic bathroom solutions made from Kaldewei steel enamel are made.
Kaldewei steel enamel combines robust steel and tough glass to form an inseparable bond harnessing the strength of each material in perfect synergy. Kaldewei is the only bathroom manufacturer to produce its own enamel.
The production capacity at the Kaldewei factory has increased over the years – in 1934 they were producing 50 baths a day. During our factory tour we watched the manufacturing line producing a new bath approximately every 15 secs!.
The impressive spotless factory is – not what you’d expect from a manufacturing facility.
The incredible overhead track system running in the roof moves the baths and shower trays around the factory to the various stages of manufacturing. It resembled the conveyor belt of doors in Pixar’s Monster Inc!
Kaldewei baths are very strong, hygienic (as nonporous) and resistant to UV light. The outside of the Kaldewei Business centre is clad in enamelled steel!.
The final part of the trip gave us a sneak preview of the new product line, including some very eye catching baths and shower trays!
A factory tour at Keuco
The factory trip to KEUCO in Hemer, Germany was a factual trip, demonstrating the quality of the products and how the brassware is made.
KEUCO bathroom accessories have become increasingly popular, offering beautiful designs and a comprehensive product range.
The products are sophisticated, both in terms of engineering and design, they are recognised on the world market as “Quality German workmanship”.
Keuco Brassware is cast out of Zinc and arrives at the factory in Hemer ready for plating. To ensure high quality of their products, all Keuco brassware is plated 4 times – nickel/chrome/nickel/chrome. This means that the finished product is a brighter chrome.
In addition to the factory tour, our designers were invited to walk around the comprehensive showroom and the highly automated logistics centre.
The end of the tour was spent in the technical rooms. Here we were given an in-depth insight into how the products were manufactured and operate. This knowledge can be used in our showroom when demonstrating the many products that we have on display.
